It doesn’t get more ‘Melbourne’ than sipping a flat white in a bustling laneway. Our picks are Degraves Street and Centre Place for unbeatable eateries, boutique shopping and people-watching that’s second to none.

Grab a sandwich and a friend, then park yourself on the lawn at the State Library of Victoria. Just don’t feed the seagulls!
Eureka Skydeck 88
The Eureka Skydeck is the highest viewing platform in the Southern Hemisphere, with the hands-down best views in the city. If you want to see the twinkling night skyline in all its splendour, viewings run until 9.30pm.
