The Melbourne Japanese Summer Festival returns to Fed Square this Sunday, showcasing the very best of Japanese culture with food stalls, music and dance performances, anime and cosplay characters, martial arts demonstrations and the traditional ‘Bon dance’, in which everyone is invited to participate! MARCS Laneway Festival
This festival experience can be easily summed up in the name – ‘Melbourne Art Restaurant Cocktail Sound’ Laneway Festival. So what can you expect? There will be hawker food stalls, pop-up bars, amazing street artists creating works onsite, live music, DJs and more. Duckboard Place and ACDC Lane (off Flinders Lane), 28 February.
Ladies in Black
Ladies in Black is a sparkling new musical that celebrates glamour, gowns and the beautiful ladies in black, a fixture in the Australian department’s stores of the 1950s. With music by Tim Finn and directed by Simon Phillips (Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and Love Never Dies), this show features a stellar cast including Bobby Fox (Jersey Boys) and Christen O’Leary (The Boy from Oz). We Can Walk It Out
Runners, joggers and walkers are invited to Melbourne’s iconic Tan Track this Sunday for We Can Walk It Out, to raise much needed funds for cancer research.
