The ultimate guide to takeaway tiramisu in Melbourne

Fast becoming one of the city’s comfort foods of choice is the classic Italian dessert, tiramisu, which literally translates to ‘pick me up’. And in times like these, that’s exactly what we need. Here’s where you can order your very own pick-me-up for takeaway or delivery.

Grossi

Grossi Florentino has changed the way they do business, and you can now have their handcrafted dishes at home with Grossi a Casa. Their tiramisu is a Grossi family recipe, which includes a few spins on this Italian classic. Using sambuca instead of brandy, and Pavesini biscuits instead of ladyfingers, as a nod to it’s Veneto origins. Order in for dessert, or pair it with the famous Grossi lasagne and a bottle of wine. Available for pick up or delivery (within a 20km radius of the CBD) Monday to Saturday.

Capitano

Order a classic tiramisu from Carlton based Italian restaurant Capitano. Or go for something a little more unique, like their tiramisu milk punch bottled cocktail. Made with clarified biscuit milk, cocoa rum, coffee and muscat. Available for pick up, or delivery to Carlton, Carlton North, Collingwood and Fitzroy.

The Meatball and Wine Bar

Meatball and Wine bar is your iso Nonna now. Delivery menus include homemade lasagne, Italian wines and authentic pasta. But we can’t go past the luxurious tiramisu. Pairs perfectly with the Italian wine box: a specially hand picked selection of three different wines.

DOC Deli

DOC might be known for their pizza and pasta, but they do a pretty impressive 10-serve tiramisu as well. Their recently launched online deli offers takeaway and delivery of the creamy treat, along with heaps of other foodie treats. It’s just what the doctor ordered.

Sweetie and Moustache Dessert Lounge

Not your traditional recipe, Sweetie and Moustache have put a tiramisu spin on their signature crepe layer cake. Made with mascarpone, espresso, ladyfingers, chocolate crepes and choc sponge, we think the tiramisu crepe cake is just as good as the real thing. If you’re feeling extra hungry, their delicious burgers and bar food are all available as well. Order on Uber Eats – FYI, they do free delivery for East Melbourne and Richmond.

Pierrick Boyer

Usually you can find Pierrick Boyer’s Reverie cafe in the ELLA precinct, but for now home delivery is your key to flavourtown. Make sweet memories and order a tiramisu or two: featuring house made sponge cake layers, mascarpone mousse and coffee infused almond genoise. Deliveries are available to the CBD, Prahran and Doncaster areas.

Tazio

Tazio serves Italian food so legit even Nonna will be impressed. Find them on Uber Eats for super sinful Tiramisu. Made from fresh espresso, creamy mascarpone and all the chocolatey cocoa goodness.

Tiamo

Order a homemade tiramisu served with cream and chocolate sauce from Tiamo in Carlton. If you’re loading up on Italian sweets, add a couple of cannoli to your order while you’re at it. Available on Uber Eats.
