Melbourne’s Christmas Festival is expanding to Docklands with a series of fun, free, festive events.
Docklands Christmas Tree Forest
Daily until 22 December | Harbour Esplanade
Explore a forest of live Christmas trees along Harbour Esplanade with the Docklands Christmas Tree Forest. The installation of traditional Christmas trees is located on the water’s edge behind Hortus Café, just near the Cow Up a Tree sculpture. Make sure you wander through the forest at night as the trees light up.
Christmas Carols and Characters
Fridays 9, 16, 23 December, Saturday 10, 17, 24 December | Victoria Harbour Promenade
From choirs and duets to one-person bands, Christmas carollers and festive characters will rove through the Forest of Trees and along Victoria Harbour Promenade, spreading their Christmas cheer.
Christmas Design Market

Get a gift for that special someone at the Docklands Christmas Design Market featuring hand-crafted products from local artisans. Expect everything from olive oil, cheese and hot sauce to children’s clothing and handmade accessories using recycled goods.

For the first time the stunning Christmas Light Projections come to Docklands. Electric Canvas, creators of the much-loved projections on Melbourne Town Hall and Federation Square, have produced a show that will illuminate the waterfront.

See Santa’s Christmas Spectacular at the Wonderland Speigletent. Santa’s magical workshop will come to life in a fun-filled circus adventure for the whole family. Saturdays and Sundays until 18 December 11.30am to 4.30pm.
