Meet your QVM trader: Market Juice

At QVM’s Market Juice you’ll find the pure juice, the whole juice and nothing but juice. They’re well known for their no-nonsense approach to top quality and low prices – just ask the regular crowd jostling for attention around their stall.
Market Juice also offer take-home juice which is freshly squeezed every morning, renowned for its taste and different varieties available –  using QVM produce of course! Try watermelon, grapefruit, pineapple and carrot or our favourite, blood orange. If you’re feeling extra low on juiciness check out seasonal specials like Energy Boost or honeydew.
Rocco has been the face of Market Juice (stall 26A) for many years.  We asked him about his favourite autumn dish and he insisted we try his no-fuss, delicious warm autumn salad. We liked it so much we thought we’d share.
6-8 cups baby spinach leaves, washed
2 spring onions, finely chopped
3 rashers bacon, chopped or shredded
3-4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2/3 cup fresh chestnuts
1 clove garlic
little balsamic vinegar
salt and coarsely ground pepper

Shake leaves to dry as much as possible and set aside.
Prepare spring onions and add to spinach. Coarsely chop chestnuts.
Heat oil in a pan. Add bacon, chestnuts and garlic then saute until bacon is cooked and chestnuts are coloured.
Add balsamic vinegar and mix. Pour over the greens, toss well and serve.
