Indulge your passion for print during Rare Book Week

Calling all book lovers and collectors! Indulge your passion for print on paper at the second annual Melbourne Rare Book Week.
Presented by the Australian and New Zealand Association of Antiquarian Booksellers (ANZAAB), this year’s event features a range of free talks, events and exhibitions to please bibliophiles and avid readers alike.
13Find out whether your books have more than just sentimental value at Melbourne Museum’s Rare Book Discovery Day or reminisce as you explore the State Library’s Alice in Wonderland collection, including first editions and pop-up books.
Examine crimes against books and discover their legal recognition as cultural objects at the Melbourne Law School event, The Book Theft Century, or discover treasures from the history of sports publishing at the Melbourne Cricket Club Library.
The bookish celebrations culminate with a three-day Rare Book Fair at the University of Melbourne’s historic Wilson Hall. This is your chance to rub shoulders with literary experts and add to your library collection, with an array of rare items available from leading international and local booksellers.
Rare Book Week kicks off tonight with a launch event at the Wheeler Centre and runs until July 28, 2013.
