Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne
Garden Explorer Tour
Melbourne’s much-loved Royal Botanic Gardens is bursting with history, beautiful plants and natural wildlife. Take their daily tour, which leaves from the Information Booth, and explore luscious greenery over a lazy hour and a half. Another option is the Garden Explorer, a hop-on, hop-off bus, which takes guests to highlights such as Oak Lawn, Guilfoyle’s Volcano and the Plant Craft Cottage. Live commentary is included in the ticket price.
Summer Discovery Tour
Don’t miss this opportunity to wander through Melbourne’s vibrant gardens in this seasonal discovery tour. Led by an experienced, knowledgeable guide, discover the natural flora and fauna in Melbourne as you peruse rolling landscapes, towering trees and glittering lakes. The Summer Discovery Tour runs daily at 10:30am and 2pm. No tours on Public Holidays.
Aboriginal Heritage Walk
A walk with a difference, the Aboriginal Heritage Walk pays tribute and celebrates the ancestral lands of the Kulin Nation. Explore a rich, thriving culture and experience a traditional smoking ceremony. The tour is lead by an Indigenous guide who expertly talks through the traditional use of plants for food, tools and medicine. Tours run daily from 11am to 12.30pm, except for Saturdays and Public Holidays.
The Fitzroy Gardens is famous for wedding pictures. It’s no wonder, with stunning photo opportunities between towering autumn trees, vintage cottages and an enormous amount of green, open space. Tours depart at 10am every Saturday from the Fitzroy Garden Visitor Centre.
