Free Friday night music at Melbourne Now

How do you make the time to prioritise a visit to Melbourne’s biggest art event in a busy schedule? Between work, rest and play – it’s hard! Thankfully the NGV’s Melbourne Now gallery spaces will be open late on Friday nights, from Friday 28 February until Friday 21 March, with four of Melbourne’s hottest music acts playing in the Great Hall as an added drawcard.
Headlining bands include electro quartet World’s End Press, the ARIA-nominated Big Scary, the ‘dreamy brilliance’ of Brighter Later and Grammy Award-nominated Hiatus Kaiyote.

Both the NGV International and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia will be open, with free entry, from 5pm to 9.30pm. Friday night gallery goers will have after-hours access to the Melbourne Now exhibition, along with special ‘pop-up’ talks, performances and a range of food and drink.
