Loved by Fitzroy Gardens locals for years, Sunset Series returns to one of Melbourne’s most beautiful parks for two epic weekends of live music, dance workshops, food trucks and long evenings lazing on the lawn.

Saturdays will be chock-full of live local music, while Sundays will have you on your feet for two days of seriously fun, inhibition-free dance workshops.

Having performed at Cochella and Bluesfest, Alárìíyá – meaning ‘party people’ in Yorùbá – will share the rich musical culture of Nigeria as part of Sunset Series 2017.
One of Melbourne’s busiest DJs MzRizk has performed with the likes of Mos Def, Public Enemy, The Daptones and Jurassic 5 across festivals including Glastonbury, Soundwave and Big Day Out.
Melding an old-fashioned crooner-style with a modern funk sound, Au Dray will join Melbourne DJ MzRizk.
Expect the seven piece band, The CoreTet to expand onstage with some special guest MCs as they deliver their special musical blend of Funk, Hip-Hop, Jazz, R&B and Soul.
Relax on the lawn and listen to some of Melbourne's best local artists...
Melbourne Salsa have been a serious hit at Sunset Series in the past. Their return in 2017 is set to again get the crowds jiving.
With Shannen’s commanding vocals, solid rock rhythm and a dynamic horn section, the seven-piece Fulton Street combines classic elements of soul and R&B with a vibrant energy.
A permanent fixture in the broadcasting world, Sista Selekta will dust off her record collection and throw down soul, hip hop and global tunes.
Fusing rock with traditional Aboriginal sounds, Neil Morris will get the Sunset Series crowd moving.
Fronted by long-time collaborators Françoise d’Argent and Benny Badge, the signature soul-boogie sounds of Silver Linings will strike the perfect note for our second Saturday session.
