This Friday, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week kicks off a week of uniquely Melbourne designer runways, retail activations, industry seminars, an emerging market, and a range of other free and ticketed events across the city.
On opening night, Little Bourke Street transforms into a free fashion show for Emporium Melbourne’s opening runway at 5pm. For one night only, the city will become a spectacular backdrop to the latest spring/summer looks from Emporium Melbourne designers.
The evening’s festivities continue with Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out, where you can shop runway looks and access exclusive offers at over 300 Melbourne retailers across the city. The Strand and Melbourne’s GPO will have giveaways from 5pm, Melbourne Central are hosting several exciting retail activation’s and QV Melbourne are serving cocktails from a pop-up bar.
Collins Street will be abuzz with stores opening late and offering interactive activities. Between Russell and Swanston Streets, step into one of the complimentary Floral Photo Booths or visit the Collins Place x Rokk Ebony Runway, complete with pop-up champagne bar, canapés, live music and a fashion show at 6.30pm.
The Eternal Headonist, a City of Melbourne small business grant recipient, will launch their virtual fitting room in the new St. Collins Lane. A range of new flagship St. Collins Lane stores, including Sandro, Maje, The Kooples, REISS and L’Argent by Agent Provocateur, will also participate in their first Melbourne Spring Fashion Week.
From global fashion brands to the personalisation service of A-Esque’s Initials Bureau, to the Makers and Shakers Market and Australian Made Fashion Labels Pop-up, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week celebrates the city’s love of fashion, and of course, shopping!
